Founder and Owner, Wenzdae Anais Dimaline is an Afro-Indigenous beader and graphic designer hailing from the Georgian Bay region. She is a member of the Georgian bay Métis community and daughter to profound Métis author- Cherie Dimaline. Wenzdae has produced Indigenous fashion for TV/ film, and has several pieces in private Indigenous art collections across Canada.
Wenzdae is heavily influenced by her Black and Indigenous roots in every aspect of her life, and her art is no exception. Each piece is created with purpose, with healing and most definitely with magik. As a Rootworker, she shares a deep connection with the earth and many of her unique pieces contain natural or biological elements.
Culture Coven is her greatest accomplishment thus far, being born into a coven herself she understands the responsibilities we have to this earth, each other and our future generations. That’s why Wenzdae and Culture Coven are dedicated to only working with brands and artisans that share the same business philosophy.
